It's not a regular varnish and it's not like Schooner. Developed to apply and perform like a professional varnish, Schooner Gold has a VERY high viscosity, giving it a very thick appearance in the can. This is deliberate. Schooner Gold has an incredible film build to fill wood grain faster & ultimately provide a cohesive high gloss finish that outlasts most varnishes. Thinning: Customize Schooner Gold prior to application based on ambient temperature, environment and personal preference using Brushing Liquid 333 or Spray Thinner 216 from Interlux.
