Chinook Retention Countdown!!

The countdown to the Chinook retention has begun!!! It is expected to open on July 15th. So now is the time to gear up. With supply chains still being slow it is wise to get what you need for the season before our stock runs low. Flashers and line are especially hard to restock right now.

Chinook fishing is still incredible in Georgia Straight. Top lures have been Super Pearl Green Lightning spoons paired with Twisted Sista Flasher, and Homeland Security Coho Killer with a Phantom Flasher.

Small anchovies in Herring Aid teaser heads have also been very effective throughout the Gulf.

In French Creek use small plugs or try Purple Haze Hoochies with a Pink Haze needlefish hoochie stuffed inside the Purple hoochie in place of a tinsel insert.

On the West Coast Chinook fishing is still good for nice sized fish. Mostly lots of 13-16lb Feeder Springs, but bigger guys are showing up to. Bloody Nose anchovy teaser heads have been the hot ticket, along with needlefish Army Truck hoochies.

For the Coho, Maverick spoons and Maverick Coho Killers paired with Blue Mirror flashers have been the top lures.
