Chinook & Coho off Nanaimo
2020 Jun 18th
Chinook catch and release fishing continues to be good around Nanaimo. The usual small spoons fished at 120 to 180’ are producing well. Jigging has started and anglers are reporting some of the best fishing in years especially up around Sangster and Texada.
There is a good mix of hatchery and wild coho off the Fingers / Neck Point. 40 to 60’ down using small spoons with some pink or red colour in them. The 1 1/2” Gibbs TKO is particularly effective. Troll around 3 mph for coho.
