Marine Formula is a patented formula that breaks down and removes adhesives and sealants used on and inside boats, including cured 3M 5200, 4200, and 4000, and Sikaflex 291. It's built specifically to release polyurethane adhesive bonds that are otherwise considered permanent.
Applied to a bonded surface, Marine Formula loosens the adhesive's grip within minutes, making it easier to remove and reseal deck hardware, hatches, thru-hull fittings, transducers, and old outboards during a repower. It's used on both power and sailboats — including for keel removal, winches, windlasses, deck hardware, radar arches, and electronics.
It's safe on fibreglass, gelcoat, powder coating, aluminum, two-part paint systems, polycarbonate hatches, clearcoat, and leather. Cleanup is simple: soap and water neutralizes the product, followed by denatured alcohol.
