Refund policy

At The Harbour Chandler, we stand behind the products we sell and strive to ensure customer satisfaction. Please review our return guidelines below.


Return Conditions

All returned items must be:

  • Unused
  • In original packaging
  • In resalable condition

Items returned without original packaging or in damaged condition may be subject to management approval and a restocking fee.

Proof of purchase is required for all returns.

All returns are subject to inspection prior to issuing a refund or store credit. The Harbour Chandler reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.


Standard Returns (Stocked Items)

  • Within 30 days of purchase: Eligible for a full refund to the original form of payment
  • 31–90 days from purchase: Eligible for store credit (issued on a gift card)
  • After 90 days: Non-refundable

Special Order Items

  • Eligible for return within 20 days of purchase
  • Subject to a 20% restocking fee
  • After 20 days: Non-refundable

Request Items

All request items are final sale and non-refundable.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Cut inventory (including wire, rope, chain, fiberglass, etc.)
  • Fasteners
  • Flares
  • Paint and compounds
  • Life jackets
  • Re-arm kits
  • All electrical items (including electronics)
  • Items with expiration dates (including charts and annual publications)
  • Registered items (including boats, motors, EPIRBs, PLBs)

Online Orders & Return Shipping

For online purchases:

  • Returns must follow the same eligibility rules outlined above
  • If a return is not due to an error by The Harbour Chandler (such as incorrect, damaged, or defective items), the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as The Harbour Chandler is not responsible for lost return shipments

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us promptly so we can resolve the issue.


Warranty Returns & Exchanges

If a product fails within the manufacturer’s warranty period:

  • Proof of purchase is required
  • The product must be sent to our warranty depot for testing
  • Once the failure is confirmed, we will issue a refund or replacement

Refund Verification

For orders over $200, we may require photo ID prior to processing a refund.
