Lingcod Opening

Just a heads up that Lingcod and Rockfish are scheduled to open May 1st. Last year was a great year for Lings and I'm sure this year will be too. Swim-baits are your best bet for hooking your fish and chips supply for the year. Remember you now must have a Rockfish descending device ready to go to release any Rockfish you are not keeping. We have several different types in stock, as they are now mandatory.
Prawning and crabbing are still excellent, with many fisherman getting their full limits. Last week I collected some very large Rock Crabs by hand while walking the beach.
There have been some perfect tides for clamming, so shellfish is a good option right now too. As it was too windy to take the boat out I went clamming instead.
