Long Weekend Fishing!!!

Long Weekend Fishing is my favourite. If you're heading out, these are my choices for this weekend. Shore fishing continues to be productive in the Nanaimo River as well as Nanoose Bay for Coho. Try using Twitching Jigs (Glow Popsicle or Glow Intruder) in the river and small blue Buzz Bombs in Nanoose. Boat Fishing, still marking lots of schools of bait around. Clark Rock to Neck Point is holding some fish, try 150ft to 200ft down with spoons (Homeland Security or Pink Sink). On my way to Entrance Island yesterday, we marked some bait from the old Cannery up to the Gap at Entrance, looked very Fishy. Weather permitting I'm heading to Porlier Pass where I have heard some fish are being taken. If you follow me, fish the outside on the Flow tide and inside on the Ebb. While I'm there Tent Island has been productive as well (Herring Aid and Irish Cream spoons) might check that out. Drop your Prawn Traps as we have been cleaning lately.
