Springtime is for Spring Salmon

[et_pb_section admin_label="section"] [et_pb_row admin_label="row"] [et_pb_column type="4_4"] [et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] Finally we have Spring weather and and more fisherman are hitting the water. Our local feeder Springs are moving around and feeding heavily. There where quite a few fish in the 8-9 pound range taken around Five Fingers yesterday, with lot's of undersized Springs in the mix. Small plugs in chartreuse and herring aid where more successful in getting larger fish and avoiding the little guys. Grande and Thrasher Rock produced some fish, but was over all slower than I expected. Sorry to the guys that I sent in that direction yesterday. Sansum Narrows is very good right now. Probably the best fishing in Georgia Straight at present time. Nickle Green Spoons like Killy Magee and similar flashers are best. The herring spawn is continuing is some locations. I haven't seen a Nanaimo area spawn yet, but it could still happen. If you see a Nanaimo area spawn please let me know at hc.tackle@shaw.ca Prawning is still great all around Nanaimo.
